This individual will use information from the College's Datatel system, other colleges, and regional and national data banks to generate the necessary data. Internal information will be developed using business objects and various other sources.</p></p><strong>Reports To:</strong><p>Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs</p><strong>What position(s) reports to this position?:</strong><p><p>None</p></p><strong>Minimum Education/Experience:</strong><p><p>Bachelor's degree.</p><p>Three years of experience in secondary or higher education research, data analysis, and information dissemination.</p></p><strong>Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:</strong><p><p>1. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, PowerPoint, and e-mail or similar software</p><p>2. Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet manipulations, such as pivoting, functions, and formatting</p><p>3. Strong background in database management and manipulation</p><p>4. Ability to use queries to extract data from an integrated data system</p><p>5. Ability to present facts clearly, concisely, and objectively</p><p>6. Ability to develop trends, analyses, and projections using statistical analysis where appropriate</p><p>7. Ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and management</p><p>8. Good verbal, written, and presentation skills</p><p>9. Ability to work independently</p><p>10. Commitment to data accuracy and consistency</p><p>11. Ability to maintain confidentiality</p><p>12. Ability and willingness to work beyond the normal work schedule when necessary</p><p>13. Support the extraction and manipulation of data for internal and external reporting, i.e., enrollment reports, graduation reports, national reports, state reports, and program reviews.</p><p>2. Prepare data for College performance reports, such as the Monitoring Reports for the OCCC Board of Regents.</p><p>3. Assist in the collection, analysis, and reporting of data for internal and external groups.</p><p>4. Conduct detailed research regarding student success, retention, persistence, progression, course completion, and graduation.</p><p>5. Provide detailed data for accreditation reports and data requests to support academic program materials.</p><p>6. Work with faculty and staff to identify the appropriate research studies to meet their needs. Design, implement, and report on these study results.</p><p>7. Support and provide graphical interpretation of data and information from various reports.</p><p>8. Serve on various College committees as a data resource.</p><p>9. Analyze and prepare reports using demographic and workforce data.</p><p>10. Conduct statistical analysis to support the College's projects, including regression analysis, forecasting analysis, and trends.</p></p><strong>Job Duties (Safety / Policy & Procedures):</strong><p><p>Abide by the policies and procedures published in the Board of Regents Policies and College Policies &amp; Procedures</p><p>Contribute to a safe educational &amp; working environment.</p><p>Adhere to established safety and health procedures and practices for the purpose of providing injury and illness prevention for self and others.</p><p>Complete quarterly health and safety training pursuant to OCCC's established safety and health procedures and practices.</p><p>Participate in all applicable OCCC emergency, evacuation and shelter in place drills and be prepared to take action and assist others in taking appropriate action should a health or safety emergency occur.</p></p>
