Job Description
The IT Director is responsible for all information technology and communications functions and equipment in our call center. This includes the 24x7x365 support of all production systems, applications, and request fulfillment. Manager is responsible for ensuring efficient IT processes are maintained and followed to meet business objectives. This is a working IT Director position for proficiency in all the related job requirements is mandatory.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all application servers, enterprise applications, domain/user maintenance, networking components, telecommunications infrastructure, proprietary and nonproprietary applications and desktop support
  • Monitoring of all equipment 24x7x365 as well as incident response management responsibilities should any issues arise.
  • Serve as the primary liaison to the client, IT vendors and Corporate support team. Duties include but are not limited to interacting with our client and other contractors on all levels to help resolve IT-related issues, including after-hours, weekend, and remote.
  • Ability to continuously improve service delivery through identification and implementation of company and industry best practices and collaboration with other IT Operations personnel.
  • Interface directly with corporate IT support to ensure full compliance with all MV policies and procedures.
  • Produce all operating policies and procedures and hold overall team directly accountable for adhering to them.
  • Accountable to meet or exceed performance metrics (KPIs) for IT Operations and Infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot complex systems issues and work with third party resources as required
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects, manage time, and work with other staff members, as well as departments on critical projects
  • Soft skills: excellent problem solving, communication, sense of urgency, and possess great customer service skills
  • Belongs to an on-call rotation which includes off-hour duties
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned

Requirements/Experience:
  • This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Strong leadership skills to lead a team
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Adept at performing a variety of high priority tasks at the same time
  • Strong understanding of ITIL practices and standards
  • Experience in telecom administrative support
  • Experience in network administration
  • Experience in database management
  • Experience running a Service Desk
  • Five (5)+ years of relevant experience with a previous Transportation company or other relevant industry at an Enterprise level is preferred
  • Five (5)+ years of relevant experience using Trapeze suite of products
  • Experience working in the ServiceNow ITSM
  • Experience working with CA Monitoring tools
  • Experience working with IBM BigFix Patch Management tools
  • Proficient in support of all Windows desktop OS- XP, Vista, Windows 7
  • Proficient in support of Windows Server 2003 & 2008 Active Directory
  • Proficient in support of Citrix MetaFrame Presentation Server
  • Remote support tools experience (Kaseya, Remote Desktop, DameWare, PCAnywhere)
  • Firewall administration experience (Cisco)
  • WAN/VPN experience (Cisco, Juniper)
  • Microsoft SQL2000/2005 database management & query writing
