JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Information Security Analyst

Location: Ridgecrest, California

Security Clearance: Secret

Rivet Operations Company has multiple openings for Information Security Analysts at the Junior and Senior levels to join our growing team in the Ridgecrest, CA area. Rivet Operations Company ("Rivet") is a leader in physical and cyber security, scientific research, development, and facilities management.

Provide Information Assurance/System Administration, and systems engineering for mainly Windows and some Linux-based systems in multiple classified facilities. Independently identify and solve technical issues relating to Information Assurance system hardening (ensuring system availability, integrity, authentication, and confidentiality). Provide appropriate documentation for Windows computer systems and some Linux systems in a stand-alone and networked environment utilizing the Risk Management Framework (RMF). Participate in developing highly complex solutions for LAN (including Wireless) and WAN environments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Not listed in order of importance; other duties may be assigned) and must be able to perform the following with minimal guidance:

Information Assurance Officer: Provide security relevant documentation such as security CONOPS, Security Controls Traceability Matrix's, System Security Plans, Risk Assessment Reports, Contingency Plans. Perform and analyze weekly security audits for nonstandard events. Implement backup solution and ensure a cohesive disaster recovery plan. (80%)

Systems Administration: Configure, install, and maintain mostly Windows computer systems and some Linux systems in a stand-alone and networked environment. Lock down Windows and some Linux computers in a mixed environment based upon classified security requirements. Manage user accounts for Windows/Linux systems, reset passwords, and perform annual computer recertification. Research, diagnose and resolve complex computer system software and hardware issues as they arise. (20%)

Job Requirements

Qualifications

Education / Experience / Certifications:

• Minimum 2 years of Windows systems administration experience.
• A minimum of 2 years information technology experience working in a classified computer facility in information, intelligence, or security areas for Junior Level.
• A minimum of 5+ years information technology experience working in a classified computer facility in information, intelligence, or security areas for Senior Level.
• Current interim or secret clearance.
• Extensive knowledge of computer operating systems, hardware, and software (demonstrated by at least 3 years of practical experience)
• Excellent organizational and communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with managers and technical staff.
• Current DoD 8570 (IAT level III or IAM level I, II, III) certification (Security+ or CISSP), or ability to obtain DoD 8570 certification within 6 months of employment required.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience working in or directly supporting the Department of Defense or other U.S. government entities desired.
• Some Linux computer experience (1-year practical experience desired).
• Experience with VMware or other virtualization software.
• Some practical experience with programming / scripting languages (1 year experience).
• Working familiarity with Director of Central Intelligence Directives (DCID) or Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) security requirements.
• Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills, and the understanding of customer focus.
• Personnel performing on this effort shall be U.S. citizens
• Personnel are required to successfully obtain and maintain background investigations and clearances (to include periodic reinvestigations)
• Personnel Security Clearance. Contractor personnel shall obtain and maintain at a minimum a security clearance level of SECRET to work on this requirement.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distance may be required. Possible lifting up to 25 lbs.
