Zurich North America is currently searching for an Informatica Administrator to join our Enterprise Data Management team supporting our multi-terabyte Data Warehouse based out of our North American Headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois. While this position will be based out of our Schaumburg Headquarters, we are offering the flexibility to work both in the office and remotely. You will collaborate with your manager to set a schedule that supports you, your customers, and the team.

This position will be part of an Enterprise Data Management Team, responsible for leveraging the value of the data assets throughout the organization. In this role you will facilitate the development and implementation of the desired end-state data environment. The Enterprise Data Management Team is also responsible for improving the organization's decision-making capabilities by providing high quality, transparent data within the data applications as well as data warehouse and associated data marts.

You will be responsible for administering the Informatica platform environment. This involves the management and administration of all components in the Informatica platform across development, quality assurance, and production environments. The Informatica Administrator is responsible for the security configuration, licensing, and the physical install and location of the services and nodes/secure agents that compose the Informatica platform.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Install, upgrade, configure, optimize, and administer the Informatica platform, either on-premises and/or IICS
  • Manages the Informatica platform components related to configuration, security, and connectivity.
  • Liaise with Systems Administrators, Management, UNIX Administrators, Network Administrators, and DBAs to schedule and implement changes
  • Support production jobs with performance tuning, metrics, and troubleshooting
  • Manage the Informatica technical support relationship
  • Monitor all environments to detect issues and trends before they impact users
  • Demonstrates knowledge in the following areas: logical and physical data modeling, data integration best practices, tools, and technologies.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the IT Architecture area
    OR
  • Zurich Cybersecurity Technician Apprentice, including Associate Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the IT Architecture area
    OR
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the IT Architecture area.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 7 or more years of experience in the Application Design and Development area
  • Experience administering Informatica Platform on-premises and/or IICS in a multi-terabyte data warehouse
  • Experience with multi-terabyte databases (PostgreSQL, Yellowbrick, DB2, SQL Server, Oracle)
  • Proficiency with SQL, Linux Shell, PowerShell, PERL
  • Experience with enterprise schedulers like Autosys
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across multiple business and technical teams
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, tight deadline delivery timeline
  • Aptitude to independently learn new technologies
  • Commercial insurance carrier experience.
