Job Title: HVAC Supervisor (B)

Job Summary: EMCOR Government Services is seeking a talented HVAC Supervisor for a healthcare facilities management bid in San Antonio, Texas.

  • The Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) Supervisor shall possesses relevant documented experience at a comparable level of responsibility to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on HVAC/R and DDC controls of similar size, scope and complexity as related to large Medical Facilities.
  • The HVAC/R Supervisor shall be on- site during the Government's regular working hours Monday thru Friday 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM and shall be available on-site within two hours after the Government's regular working hours upon notification of an emergency.
  • The HVAC Supervisor will report to the Central Energy Plant Manager and assists in specifying and ordering parts and materials related to mechanical equipment .

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Primarily responsible for Preventive and Corrective Maintenance work order execution and management for a 24/7/365 large medical complex program.
  • Oversee diverse team of in-house staff and subcontractors.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert and manage the total work effort associated with operation, sustainment, restoration, and modernization of HVAC/R, Chiller, Air Compressor, DDC equipment and systems including review and approval of Contractor plans and procedures
  • The HVAC Supervisor is responsible for maintaining and adjusting ventilation requirements in accordance with ASHRE 170, UFC 3-401-01, UFC 4-510-01, and CDC requirements.
    • The supervisor develops and maintains vendor and supplier relationships to facilitate timely support when system repairs are required.
    • The HVAC supervisor assumes the role of CEP Manager when the CEP manager is on leave or off site.
    • Ensure validation of new construction turnover.
    • Ensure daily DDC connectivity with clinics and inspect clinics for HVAC trouble for repair. Inspect critical temperature ranges are maintained, in medical support areas.
  • Ensure staff and subcontractors adhere to management plans and processes, including safety and quality requirements.
  • Direct scheduling and completion of preventive and corrective maintenance inspection and repair.
  • Ensure work is completed in compliance with contract requirements, healthcare codes and regulations, budgets, and performance standards.
  • Maintain program documentation and records for The Joint Commission (TJC) requirements, contract deliverables and plans, training, staff certifications and licenses, and permits.

Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years' experience in HVAC/R and DDC controls at a comparable level of responsibility in projects of similar size, scope and complexity of a large Medical Treatment Facility (over 2 million square feet).
  • Successful completion of an HVAC/R/DDC apprentice program or equivalent trade school training, education and experience that provides training and experience with maintenance, repair and operation of: DDC systems, cooling towers, fan coils systems, closed loop water treatment, industrial HVAC/R systems and air
  • The HVAC Supervisor must possess an EPA Universal refrigerant handling license (certified to work with all CFC, HCFC and HFC refrigerants).
  • The HVAC Supervisor should be familiar with LEED building standards, ASHRE 170, NFPA 110, UFC 3-401-01, UFC 4-510-01CDC, environmental compliance
  • Experience using DMLSS CMMS is preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required.
  • Completion of OSHA 30 preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Valid Drivers License
