The Human Resources Representative is responsible for tasks related to talent acquisition, benefits, HRIS, employee relations, and more.The Human Resources Representative will work within a hybrid schedule, Monday through Friday, standard business hours in a fast-paced, collaborative, and engaged environment.

Compensation: $24.00/-$26.00/hour, DOE + $75/month cell phone reimbursement.

POSITION SUMMARY:

  • Assists with company recruiting efforts by conducting phone screens, scheduling interviews for hiring managers, sending appropriate communications to candidates and job applicants such as rejection notices through the global HRIS system.
  • Facilitate administrative aspects of employee onboarding including orientation, new hire paperwork completion, answering general questions, and ensuring all new hires experience a smooth transition.
  • Assist employees during annual open enrollment and throughout the year pertaining to general benefit questions and leave of absences.
  • Develop and maintain administrative processes that reduce redundancy and improve accuracy, while achieving organizational objectives through continuous improvement.
  • Assist with additional HR processes: performance management, talent review documentation, ad hoc and ongoing reporting; and complete special projects as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as necessary and needed based on the needs of members and the human resources department.
  • Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and payroll administration and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Identify potential issues for further investigation by the HRM
  • Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly
  • Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form

COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS NEEDED FOR THIS POSITION):
  • Ability to communicate with a diverse, multi-cultural customer base
  • Performs various duties with frequent interruptions or distractions, adjusting priorities quickly as circumstances dictate.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment while providing excellent customer service to clients and working collaboratively with coworkers and team members.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment and prioritize responsibilities to work efficiently.
  • Proficient computer programs knowledge and experience required (Google, Microsoft Office / HR systems: ADP, Workday, Kronos experience is preferred).
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with highly sensitive data and remain calm and professional during stressful situations.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field or equivalent experience.
Experience:
  • One to three years of administrative experience in a fast-paced, professional services environment preferred, or proven experience as an HR Coordinator or Sr HR Assistant
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
  • Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office and HRIS systems (e.g. Workday)
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Aptitude in problem-solving
  • Desire to work as a team with a result-driven approach
  • Ability to adapt to changing demands and prioritize based on business needs and impact on staff

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS and WORK DEMANDS:

This position will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers, which can cause muscle strain. This position will also have to do some lifting of supplies and materials from time to time.
