Description

JOB PURPOSE:

Interact with internal and external customers in a positive, helpful way. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Take ownership of all employee file maintenance
  • Complete verifications of employment for current and previous employees
  • Complete medical support orders for current and previous employees
  • Answer the central telephone system and direct calls to the appropriate company associate.
  • Maintain and update phone extension listings. Distribute listings company-wide on a regular basis.
  • Assist in sorting and distributing incoming mail.
  • Monitor the company's email inbox; respond to questions and/or forward to the appropriate person.
  • Assist in completing special projects for HR Department.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Certifications

Required:High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred:

Experience

Required:2+ years successful professional administration with various responsibilities

Preferred:4+ years administrative or customer service experience, and/or HR experience

Functional / Technical Competency Requirements

Required:Knowledge of general office procedures and machines such as fax, scanner, printer, etc. At least intermediate-level ability in Microsoft Office software. Learn various other software programs or Web portals. High attention to detail and accuracy. Customer service mindset.

Maintain confidentiality of employee data at all times. Take ownership of all assigned tasks; follow-through until assignment is complete and customer is satisfied with the results. Professional demeanor and common sense interacting with the public. Positive attitude. Reliability.

Preferred: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb or balance and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 20 pounds.
