HR Partner - MA

The HR Partner, Colleague and Labor Relations is a trusted partner, providing guidance and colleague and labor relations subject matter support to Regional Health Ministry (RHM) based managers and colleagues in promoting and fostering of a fair, positive, and collaborative working environment. In collaboration with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and Colleague and Labor Relations Center of Expertise (COE) leadership and peers, the HR Partner, Colleague and Labor Relations supports the implementation and management of colleague and labor relations policies, processes, and programs. The HR Partner, Colleague and Labor Relations regularly interacts with RHM management, colleagues, and Colleague and Labor Relations COE leadership to collectively manage, resolve, and trend colleague and labor relations matters, including planning and conducting investigations, responding to internal colleague complaints, and supporting collective bargaining agreements and processes. The HR Partner, Colleague and Labor Relations adds value to the organization by providing colleague and labor relations guidance and recommendations with a focus on enabling the achievement of Trinity Health's Strategic Aims to realize a person-centered, mission-focused colleague culture.

1.Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
2. In conjunction with the Regional Director/Manager, Colleague and Labor Relations, HRBPs and the Colleague and Labor Relations Center of Expertise (COE) leadership, supports work efforts involving the planning, defining, and application of colleague and labor relations policies, processes, programs and initiatives within their Regional Health Ministry (RHM)/organization.
3. Ensures HR compliance and consistency in the administration, application, and delivery of colleague and labor relations policies and services; partners with key internal customers as directed including Risk Management, Legal Services, and Integrity and Compliance.
4. Supports the Problem Resolution Process/Grievance Process involving colleague and labor relations matters, conducting investigations as needed, documenting findings and outcomes, and making appropriate and objective recommendations to management for resolution.
5. Provides administrative support for colleague and labor relations related inquiries such as but not limited to reviewing and responding to escalated and compliance flagged colleague exit interviews; processing Workday transactions; time and attendance and leave of absence matters; file preparation and compilation; ensuring compliance on other HR-related policies and processes wherein non-compliance results in employment actions (i.e. annual Influenza/TB testing, testing mandatories, and licenses and certifications);
identifying and reporting on colleague and labor relations trends.
6. In conjunction with RHM management, Colleague and Labor Relations COE, and the Labor Strategy Team, supports the management of labor policies, contract negotiations, grievance and other dispute resolution processes, advises management on CBA compliance, and contributes to the completion of other labor relations projects and assignments, as directed.
7. Under the direction of the Regional Director/Manager, Colleague and Labor Relations and Labor Strategy teams, and in collaboration with RHM management and HRBPs, supports the implementation of specific response strategies and tactics to address union organization campaigns and activities, when necessary.
8. When required and necessary, coordinates specific colleague and labor relations management training, such as Just Culture and other employment law focused trainings.
9. Advocates for fair and consistent workplace practices in accordance with Trinity Health's mission, Core Values, and other applicable legal parameters.
10. Maintains advanced knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws/regulations; the Trinity Health Integrity and Compliance Program and Code of Conduct; as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behavior.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. Must possess knowledge of state and federal laws, regulations and requirements related to HR, colleague and labor relations, collective bargaining, colleague dispute resolution, and fostering a positive colleague and labor environment as normally acquired through completion of Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or Business Administration or a related field, with three (3) or more years of experience in related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Demonstrated knowledge of labor and employment laws and their application in operating environments is required.
3. Ability to respond to variable situations requiring analytical, interpretive, evaluative and constructive thinking abilities.
4. Ability to support a change management and process improvement work environment.
5. Demonstrated interpersonal skills and communication both written and verbal with considerable ability to interact effectively with managers, supervisors, and colleagues.
6. Proven customer-service orientation. Ability to know and understand customer requirements and exercise judgment in meeting reasonable expectations.
7. Ability to continuously learn and seek personal and professional growth opportunities to further develop expertise and proficiency.
8. Ability to model behavior that enables and encourages an environment filled with teaming and knowledge sharing.
9. Ability to handle and prioritize competing and multiple tasks/projects in a timely and organized manner.
10. Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment as a team player.
11. Must be discrete and maintain the highest degree of confidentiality with extremely sensitive information and data
