Summary

The HRIS/Compliance Specialist is important role in the Pennoni HR organization. This position is responsible for entering, compiling, and analyzing HR data to meet business needs and ensure compliance with federal regulations and local/state/federal contract requirements. The roll will be the subject matter expert on the HRIS system - maintaining data accuracy while improving processes, enhancing report and creating workflows. The HRIS/Compliance Specialist will work with large and complex human capital data to evaluate, recommend, and support the implementation of HR strategies.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and produce standard and ad hoc reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual), templates, dashboards, and metrics.
  • Work with Legal team on compliance reporting for federal and state including EEO and AAP.
  • Manage HR compliance requirements such as proper personnel filing, wage and hour requirements, and audit checklists.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition, DEI, and ER team on reporting of applicant data and employee data (statistics for trends and patterns)
  • Provide data and reports for Proposal team as needed.
  • Process verifications of employment.
  • Survey Participation:
    • Participate in salary, budget planning, and other ad hoc surveys conducted by vendors such as Willis Towers Watson, Mercer, Culpepper, etc.
  • Ensure data entered into the HRIS is monitored, maintained, reliable, and valid.
  • Ensure compliance with Data Privacy and Protection Guidelines.
  • Actively participate in problem solving and recommending solutions for all HRIS issues.
  • Report and analyze key metrics that provide insight into data trend, workforce and succession planning, and benchmarking.
  • Generate report and presentations as needed for HR and Executive Team.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create process and standards documentation and user guides, and provide HRIS training to team members
  • Regularly audit employment records in accordance with legal requirements and company policies and procedures
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base and understanding of trends in technology and standards of practice relevant to the management of the HRIS.
  • Partner with Human Resources team to refine processes, standards, and workflows that maximize efficiency and data integrity
  • Partner with HR and Payroll on system upgrades and implementations
  • Assist with the administration of our annual performance appraisals and salary reviews
  • Maintain and update electronic and hard copy personnel record systems containing all employment-related information
  • Respond to inquiries received through Fresh Service
