We are searching for an HR Generalist who will work with the Manager, HR Business Partner to support various business services groups and legal practice areas. As a member of the US HR team, you will work to bring together HR services across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, orientation, compensation, learning & development, and employee relations, as well as engagement, culture, and diversity and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist managers and employees in understanding and applying people tools, policies, and procedures to maximize employee performance, achieve organizational effectiveness, improve employee engagement, and ensure legal compliance.
  • Analyze data, understand trends, and develop proactive solutions to further support business objectives.
  • Monitor and provide support to the business during annual processes such as performance reviews, calibration, compensation and rewards, and headcount planning.
  • Work closely with HR Transactions team members to implement specific HR processes and transactions to support employee and manager-generated requests.
  • Assist with business services recruiting and participate in interviews.
  • Complete ad-hoc projects, reporting and tasks as required with cross-functional HR / Partner teams, working on or leading projects/programs.
  • Provide advice and counsel to management and employees on employee relation matters.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively apply knowledge of employment law and human resources policies.
  • Demonstrated ability to recommend solutions that effectively resolve people and operational problems or issues consistent with firm standards, practices, policies and applicable rules, regulations, and laws.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate the resolution of interpersonal conflicts at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated understanding of business process and how to change and improve to achieve greater efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple projects and responsibilities and consistently deliver high quality results in a timely manner.
  • Superior ability to communicate clearly and effectively in writing and in person on an individual, small, and large group situation.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 3 years' Human Resource generalist experience.
  • Minimum 5 years Human Resource related experience.

Physical Activity/Other Miscellaneous
  • Ability to work outside standard business hours as needed.
  • Flexibility to travel to other firm offices if needed.
