DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage incoming calls/ voicemails for the HR Department line (transfer calls/ take messages and send to the appropriate person)
  • Manage HR mailbox (reset password, answer basic HR questions or code HRBP color / forward to HRBP)
  • Sort incoming mail
  • Create employee badges
  • Complete I-9's for onsite New Hires / Manage I-9 filing (remove terminations)
  • Enter new hires in E-Verify
  • Assist with Recruiting process, such as scheduling and coordinating interviews
  • Monitor onboarding (BK, DS, Onboarding paperwork)
  • Enter New Hires in HRIS system (currently Dayforce) and follow all the steps within the onboarding process.
  • Send onboarding packets and test kits to field employees
  • Conduct New Hire Orientation/Onboarding training for New Hires
  • Send benefits reminders for new hires
  • Email Benefits information and enrolment links to Canadian employees within a month of start date, and then track receipt and enter deductions in HRIS.
  • Manage the HR SharePoint site, by uploading and updating documents
  • Manage service award program for US and Canada
  • Coordinate exit process for departing employees such as creating termination letters, requesting and coordinating return of equipment.
  • Create/write job descriptions.
  • Filing both electrically and paper forms (if necessary)
  • Quarterly audits of new hire/terms paperwork (make sure enroll/termed from benefits, file moved to termed, etc.)
  • Assisting with basic payroll concerns and internal payroll audits
  • Making copies for Acquisitions packets, if needed
  • Support data entry for acquisitions
  • Regular sustained attendance
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1 - 2 years of experience in HR, preferably in a similar capacity
  • Demonstrate superior customer relationship management skills
  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communications skills
  • Effectively prioritize multiple responsibilities
  • Must be results driven with the ability to take initiative and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Understands the importance of and demonstrates a high level of confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently

EDUCATION REQUREMENTS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or similar areas.
