Bonus: $3,000, $1,500 at 3 months, $1,500 at 6 months

  • Supervises a team of housing navigators and permanent supportive housing staff assigning caseloads, monitoring program activities and outcomes, assuring compliance with documentation, service quality, and grant requirements
  • Assist clients in obtaining a lease and all matters related to the lease, including identifying or securing housing subsidies.
  • Maintains files and records as needed to secure affordable housing opportunities for clients.
  • Maintains relationships with existing landlords.
  • Maintains relationships with multiple real estate brokers.
  • Maintains relationships with housing agency staff.
  • Maintains relationships with Bay Cove staff ,and other community partners. Keeps current on fair housing laws and reasonable accommodations within the ADA.
  • Schedules and holds walk in housing workshops for clients
  • Creates low barrier low threshold protocols to help clients access housing
  • Assist in the movement of furniture and supplies as needed to set up and close apartments.
  • Maintains housing related data on Excel spreadsheets.
  • Communicates routinely with Director of shelter and other Housing staff regarding the status of units.
  • Attends required orientation and training, including in service and supervisor training, conferences and seminars.
  • Attends weekly coordination meetings
  • Maintains the residential/commercial lease schedule and implements rent escalators as needed
  • Provides housing training to new Bay Cove staff members, and to staff employed by Bay Coves sub-contractors
  • Supervises the Housing Support Worker Performs other duties and projects as assigned by the Director of Housing.
  • BA preferred and 5 years work history in the housing field.
  • Current driver's license.
  • Previous experience in housing advocacy or search.
  • Ability to attend meetings at various sites throughout the day.
  • Ability to go up and down stairs to evaluate units.
  • Must be able to work independently and manage time well.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively with clients, other care providers, family and community members.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team context.
  • Professional documentation and communication skills, as well as demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with landlords, real estate agents, housing authorities and agencies, and other staff.
  • Must be proficient in Word for routine written communication.
  • Ability to access and use the Internet on a regular basis in order to conduct thorough housing searches.
  • Housing/Book keeping software knowledge preferred, but not required.
  • A COVID-19 vaccination is a requirement of the position. One COVID-19 shot is acceptable, contingent on the individual receiving the second shot within the allotted time frame.
