Performsavarietyofdutiesinordertoprovideacleanandsafetyenvironmenttoallresidents,visitors,andstafffollowingallpolicies,procedures,andguidelines.

JobQualifications:

  • AbilitytospeakandunderstandtheEnglishlanguageinordertomakeselfunderstoodinfacttofactinteractionswithresidentsand staff.Must beableto understandwrittenand verbalinstructions.

  • Threemonthsexperienceininstitutionalhousekeepingoperations,preferred.Goodknowledgeofwatertemperatures;laundrydetergentsandchemicals;linensandfabrics.

  • Equipment-Vacuum,HousekeepingCart,LinenCart, Mop, BucketBroom

  • Mustbeabletosafelyperformtheessentialjobfunctionswithorwithoutreasonableaccommodation.

JobResponsibilities

Demonstrates, promotes and integrates the mission of The McAuley and the core valuesofMercyCommunityHealthindailywork activities.

Clean and sanitize bathrooms to include: shower, toilet and toilet basin, sink, sink top,medicinecabinet,walls,cupboards,mirrors,floorandallfaucets,drainsandlights.

Dustallhardsurfaceswithouttheremovalofresidentpersonalbelongings.

Clean andsanitizekitchen to include: sink and sink drain, counter tops andstove.Cleantopofrefrigerator,sweepandwashfloor.

Clean andmaintain front entrance door to include: frame and frame top, inside andoutsideofdoor,vacuumfrontentrance,edgecarpetingeachtimeapartmentiscleaned.

Clean and maintain front patio to include: sweep and remove cobwebs, clean patio lightandglobe.

Vacuumapartmentincludingunderallfurniture.

Deliverandremovebothcleanandsoiledlinenasrequired.

Cleanandsanitizecartstoragearea,alljanitorclosetsandhousekeepingcartsasrequired.

Performproperremovalofdailytrashremainingfromendofday.

Assists in any otherdepartmentneeds as requiredordirectedby the EnvironmentalServicesDirectororSupervisorofHousekeeping andLaundryServices.

Followsallsafety,security,infectioncontrol(includingCategoryIUniversalPrecautions)andhazardousmaterialspoliciesandprocedures;performsalltasksto

assureresidentandpersonalsafetyandtheprotectionofco-workersand(facility)property.

Customer satisfaction and a focus on quality improvement are evident in all aspects ofwork. Promotes and supports the philosophy, goals and objectives of the department.Dedicated toprovidingservices,whichanticipateandexceedresident andfamilyneeds.

Maintains high standards of business and ethical conduct in accordance with applicableFederal, State and local laws and regulations including fraud, waste and abuse.Avoidsactivities,whichcouldresultinaconflictofinterest.

Promotes aproductive atmosphere, facilitates teamwork and treats fellow employees,residentsandfamilieswithrespectandconsideration,ishelpful,cooperativeandcourteous.Carriesoutthespiritandintentofequalemploymentopportunity.

Attend atleast two (2) General Staff Meetings,four (4) Department StaffMeetings andsix(6)EducationalPrograms.

Arrivesinapunctualmannerforallshifts.Providesnotification for unscheduledabsences and tardiness. Requestsscheduled timeoff in compliance with policy. Doesnotexceedcompanyattendancepolicy.
