This position provides immediate supervision to a unit or group of employees supporting Residential Installation and Service, in order to serve AAA's members and other clients. First level supervisor over non-exempt team members. This position supervises the daily operations of Residential Installation and Service by means of day-to-day administrative and technical supervision. They schedule personnel and manage time and attendance. A small portion of time is spent performing individual tasks related to unit or sub-unit.

Essential Duties

  • Manages direct reports to ensure work produced meets or exceeds established standards and member satisfaction. Coordinates and directs work activities to provide services including Smart Home Alarm systems installation and service. Visits job sites on a daily basis for Quality Assurance checks, to meet with the member to ensure member satisfaction, to provide coaching opportunities and to assist the Smart Home Pros if needed. Responsible for Parts and Labor costs associated with the installation throughout life cycle of the project to ensure a satisfactory profit margin. Ensures Smart Home Pros are following all safety protocols. Handles all member escalations using good judgment, while adhering to budget; doing what's right for our customers. Assigns team members tools, vehicles and other resources to ensure they have all the proper equipment to meet or exceed service levels. Builds and maintains a positive work environment by being a positive influence and resource to the team.
  • Leads monthly meetings where OSHA Safety, Technical Training, and department and company information/updates are presented. Coaches employees on performance, organizing classes for employee development or providing one-on-one training. Administers corrective action. Identifies inefficiencies in processes and procedures and implements process improvement
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills

  • Interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) necessary to interact with members, employees and others in a professional and tactful manner
  • Proficient in conflict resolution
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to coach, mentor, evaluate and train (develop people)
  • Ability to administer corrective actions
  • Ability to answer technical questions and provide training and guidance to staff
  • Knowledge of member services, products, guidelines, and policies and procedures related to A3 Smart Home
  • Can understand and manage to a P&L statement

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma
  • 3-5 years of industry experience in alarm systems installation and service.
  • 2+ years Supervisory/Management (Preferred)

Working Environment

The position requires both field and office time. Physical requirements include walking new and existing commercial and residential sites in various stages of construction, climbing ladders/stairs, lifting (up to 50 pounds), working in outdoor weather conditions, sitting, driving to job sites, use of typical hand and electrical tools.
