Job you will do

Typical Day in the Life

A typical day as a Healthcare Reimbursement Associate includes the following:

  • Work closely with assigned clients in the health care field, including hospitals and nursing homes.
  • Prepare Medicare and/or Medicaid cost reports utilizing specialized software to meet federal and state regulations by required deadlines.
  • Communicate with clients and Medicare and/or Medicaid contractors via telephone and email.
  • Review trial balances, financial statements and client information for cost report preparation.
  • Prepare reports summarizing clients' cost report results.

Who You Are
  • You have a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting or Business.
  • You have basic knowledge of the health care industry, preferably in reimbursement and payment methodologies.
  • You are proficient with Microsoft Office and have knowledge of pivot tables and Excel formulas.
  • You love the details and notice the fine print in everything you do.
  • You communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • You have the ability to work on multiple projects and enjoy meeting deadlines.
  • You are able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and clients.
  • You can interact with internal and external clients, delivering consistent results.
Must be authorized to work in the United States permanently without the requirement of sponsorship at any point in the future.
