SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the cleanliness of the Harvest Welfare area. The duties include, but are not limited to: maintaining all team member locker rooms by sweeping, mopping and stocking necessary supplies; keeping the hallways clean of waste at all times; light maintenance repairs of the lockers. The position is also responsible for the daily laundry of the team members. The duties include but are not limited to: placing clean/dry clothes and aprons in the team member's locker before shift. This process is completed by pushing carts of laundry bags from Slaughter locker rooms to the Processing laundry room; after the laundry is washed/dried, the janitor will push the carts back to Harvest where the bags will be sorted and placed in the appropriate team member's locker. Other duties may include assisting the shift nurse with team members who are assigned alternate duty jobs while under the care of the Health Service dept.; acting as the runner-driving the company car into town to pick up items.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Prefer High School diploma or equivalent

Experience: None

Computer Skills: None

Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively in all areas of communication. Communication skills will include, but not be limited to: reporting laundry problems to management; assisting the nurse with the alternate duty restrictions of injured team members working with the janitor; preparing work orders for repairs.

Special Skills: Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry 60lbs - 70lbs; push heavy carts of laundry between Harvest and Processing using the outside walkway; work in extreme hot or cold environments; adjust work hours as needed to accommodate plant needs. Must have valid drivers' license to drive company vehicle.

Schedule: Typically Monday through Friday some weekend work may be required. Hours will vary depending on season and production schedule.
