Discovery Day Treatment is an outpatient psychiatric recovery and rehabilitation program which serves clients who are experiencing major mental health challenges or acute life crisis. Psychiatric day treatment serves as a long-term stabilization program for consumers who have completed inpatient or partial hospitalization level of care, or as an increase in support for consumers who need more intensive treatment than individual therapy alone. The Staff Clinician is part of a multi-disciplinary team which provides quality clinical care, group therapy, and case management. The program philosophy is that consumers can heal through immersion in a nonjudgmental environment among peers in the day treatment milieu or "community." Staff clinicians support this process by educating consumers about their symptoms and aid them in developing coping skills via group therapy in a structured, scheduled day that supports each individual's clinical treatment plan. Therapeutic groups include, but are not limited to, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, expressive therapy, social skills training, and recreational therapy. Discovery also embraces a whole health perspective on recovery and includes yoga, wellness, and nutrition as part of the treatment schedule. Treatment is conducted in a setting which is safe, respectful, and empathetic to consumer needs.

Required Experience

• Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling Psychology or related field.
• Experience working with Adults with Chronic Mental Health Challenges
• Must have a safe driving record, valid driver's license and access to your own vehicle for client transportation
