Job Details:

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the total operation of the assigned business unit. This position is responsible for the efficient and safe manufacturing of quality products in a manner that is consistent with company policies and procedures. This includes providing supervisors with information, materials, and training, enabling them to produce the highest quality product possible; monitoring records for attendance, payroll, production, safety and ergonomics, TQM; monitoring and promoting new ideas and encouraging the development of ideas from Team Members; overseeing the daily operation of their assigned area or responsibility and analyzing non-routine problems and offering recommendations for solutions to the Plant Manager; insure compliance with USDA, federal and state regulations; maintain entire operation of their assigned area, including but not limited to, safety, production yields, quality, Team Member relations, turnover and absenteeism, discipline, payroll, staffing, and line speeds.

REQUIREMENTS: Education: Education beyond high school including special training, vocational school, and/or college courses, or equivalent managerial experience. Experience: 3 plus years general knowledge of production techniques, procedures, product yields and quality, and USDA and OSHA regulations. Processing management experience preferred. Computer Skills: Basic computer skills. Communication Skills: Strong communication skills with bilingual skills preferred. Travel: As required. POSITION REPORTS TO: Plant Manager
