Lake Area Technical College is accepting applications for a General Education Anatomy and Physiology Instructor. The Anatomy and Physiology Instructor position is full-time and duties will be completed through online, hybrid, and on-campus instruction at Lake Area Tech in Watertown, South Dakota. This position is open until filled.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Master's degree in Anatomy, Physiology, or closely related field with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in the discipline required.
2. Previous work experience in health science-related fields preferred.
3. Strong classroom management skills with prior on-campus and/or online teaching experience a plus.
4. Ability to utilize technology to enhance instruction both on campus and online.
5. Excellent people skills, affinity for working with young adults and coworkers in a team environment.
6. Bilingual a plus.
7. National Career Readiness Certificate level Silver or higher a plus.

REPORTS TO: General Education Department Supervisor, Dean of Academics, Vice President

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Classroom, online, and hybrid instruction of courses in Anatomy, Physiology, and other related science courses as assigned.
2. Alignment with the course outcomes of the South Dakota Board of Regents to guarantee transferability.
3. Curriculum development of all assigned subjects, using innovative technology wherever possible.
4. Utilize online course materials through the learning management system.
5. Work in partnership with the other faculty members to maintain an effective teaching team.
6. Maintain all related documentation.
7. Assist with accreditation and assessment as assigned.
8. Other duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

180 day contract starting Fall 2022. Compensation set by the Watertown School Board in accordance with the state postsecondary technical instructor salary formula.
