Gator Cafe Hourly Assistant

Responsibilities:

Looking for a dependable and punctual self-starter with excellent communication skills to be a functional part of our Gator Café team. Duties and resposibilities shall include, but are not limited to the follow:
1. Must obtain a food handlers certification.
2. Help set up and break down café equipment.
3. Help prepare for daily meals.
4. Routine cleaning of preparation surfaces, sweeping and mopping, and washing dishes.
5. Help with inventory and deliveries.
6. Answer phone calls and take food orders.
7. Perform other appropriate duties as may be determined by the Manager or Cook of the Café, or any other superiors.
8. Work cash register and count back money.

This is a part time, hourly position.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent is required; minimum of one year of directly related work experience preferred.

Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to communicate courteously and effectively with faculty, staff, and clientele.

Must possess the ability to read and understand, or to listen to and act upon written and oral instructions. Must possess the ability to follow college policies and procedures.

Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, and clientele. Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and pay attention to details.

This position is security-sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of the Texas Education Code §51.215.
