Description:
Our client is currently seeking a Full Stack Engineer.

*70% of time Full Stack Engineer role, 30% of time Scrum Master role*

Location: Remote

Duration: Contract to Hire

*We cannot sponsor upon conversion

Project:

This project handles functionalities for a Digital eCommerce application. Main functionalities handled by this team include Shopper profile and User account management.

Full Stack Engineer Responsibilities: (70% of time)

• Designs, codes, tests, debug, and documents software, and enhance existing components to ensure that software meets business needs.
• Writes automated unit tests for developed code through front end automation tools like Karma/Jasmine, Junit.
• Code developed meets coding best practices guidelines, unit testing, security, and scalability and maintainability guidelines.
• Contribute to the design and architecture to enable secure, scalable, and maintainable software and should be able to clearly articulate the implications of.
• Collaborate on the design with other team members and product owners, both inside and outside the scrum team while also able to work independently.

Scrum Master Responsibilities: (30% of time)

• Lead Scrum ceremonies Daily Scrum, Backlog grooming, Retrospectives and Sprint planning.
• Identify, Track and improve agile metrics like Velocity, Quality, Cycle time (Time to value, Time to build).
• Act as servant leader to meet Sprint goals through effective tracking (burn down charts, Daily scrums), removing team blockers (through facilitate feature walk through) and by resolving dependencies.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related experience.
• 2-3 years of Front end/UI development experience using Angular or equivalent JS frameworks.
• 2-3 years of experience developing SOAP/REST APIs using Java/Spring Framework/springboot.
• Experience writing unit tests for code through tools like Karma/Jasmine and Junit.
• Experience writing unit tests for code through framework like Junit/Easymock.
• Experience working with databases both RDBMS and NoSQL DB (Cassandra, MongoDB etc).
• Experience with XML/JSON and consuming SOAP and REST services using Apache CXF or a comparable framework.
• Experience with Maven and Groovy.
• Great communicator with experience playing scrum master role or have deep knowledge on Scrum master responsibilities.
• Experience in doing software development in an Agile environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Certified scrum master (CSM) experience.
• Experience with Adobe experience manager (AEM) as content management system (CMS).
• Experience with Test driven development and actively using TDD for development.
• Experience with commercial software development and/or healthcare industry experience.
• Strong experience in projects requiring application re-engineering, modernization.
