POSITION IS 3RD SHIFT 11:00 P.M. - 7:30 A.M.

SUMMARY
Total Airport Services (TAS) Cargo Agent (s) are logistics warehouse professionals who assist TAS business clients to ship or receive air freight materials across the US. Cargo Agents are required to have detailed knowledge of shipping rules, customs clearance, documentation requirements, compliance, insurance requirements, methods of transport, and any other logistics-related issues while effectively demonstrating TAS organizational guidelines as defined in our Best in Class program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Cargo Agent is responsible to:
- Build up cargo for outbound flights.
- Breakdown and check-on cargo from inbound flights.
- Drive and operate forklift. - Load and unload cargo from pallets and containers.
- Sort product using unique identifiers.
- Cube pallets, wrap, weigh and dim.
- Lift heavy weights on a continual basis.
- Communicate with customers coming in to pick-up or drop-off cargo.
- Communicate with Airline clients/customers.
- Perform transfers of freight to other airlines on the airfield.
- Maintain high standards of safety.
- Inspect equipment to prevent damage and/or injury.
- Maintain the cleanliness of facilities and equipment.
- Comply with all safety/security regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.

NOTE: TAS Applicants must in accordance with International Air Transport Association (IATA) standards pass a security clearance (for airport security purposes) a federal background check, be fingerprinted, and complete the required educational course(s) prior to being issued an airport badge, and Customs Border Protection seal.

Operation Group- Performs the essential activities according to manuals, norms, processes and procedures, ensuring firmness of purpose in implementing processes and procedures, through Operational Group with business mindset, operational excellence assuring safety condition. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE H.S. Diploma or GED; or over 1 year up to and including 3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES and REGISTRATIONS - Valid State Driver’s License - Valid Forklift License - Dangerous Goods Awareness Certification.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES - Ability to place freight on racks using a forklift.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS - May occasionally be asked to run local errands. - Security Clearance, (for airport security purposes) pass a 10-year background screening.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; working in high places; fumes or airborne particles; vibrations and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions [non-weather]; toxic/caustic chemicals; extreme cold and heat [non-weather]; risk of electrical shock; and risk of radiation. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
