Our client, a luxury beauty brand in NYC, is hiring a Freelance Video Post Producer for an ongoing contract role. Candidates must be based in NYC and willing to work onsite 1 or 2 days per week.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage post-production budgets, timelines and key milestones across various video projects
Research, review, pitch, bid and collaborate directly with external post-production partners including but not limited to edit houses, music vendors and composers, audio recording facilities, motion graphics animators, color and VFX facilities
Work closely with content producers, creative teams, project managers and business affairs to regularly communicate post-production status across projects, release prep, delivery, and wrap
Track rounds of review for edit and finishing processes between internal creative teams and post partners across various time zones
Track copy changes on supers and manage schedule for finalizing copy as it appears in videos
Create detailed deliverable trackers for all video projects, crosscheck needs against Asset Checklists and final shoot materials with creative and PM teams to ensure delivery of all lengths, cutdowns, alt edits, ratios, formats, and versions of video assets
Maintain organized video files and corresponding paperwork throughout post timeline and project delivery
Ensure quality control (QC) guidelines and style guides are in place and adhered to before final assets are delivered
Oversee QC and release of all final video assets with the PM and marketing teams, on behalf of the creative team
Collaborate with business affairs team to relay vendor estimates and invoices for timely accounting
Source and license music for edits, either with composers/stock houses or with music supervisors. Clear licensing contracts with business affairs and legal
Extreme attention to detail to ensure all aspects of video are properly licensed, including but not limited to: stock footage, model usage and VO
Facilitate usage increments for OOH purposes and other platforms
Ad Hoc and other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
8+ years of video post-production and ad agency experience
Understanding of development and delivery of social / digital assets across robust video-focused campaigns
Thorough knowledge of all digital file formats and their best practice applications
Possess strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to set priorities, adapt to creative revisions, work across various projects, and meet critical due dates
Demonstrate strong listening and problem-solving skills
Willingness and ability to take initiative and thoughtfully execute work through the post pipeline
Hands on experience working with calendars, Keynote, Slack and organizational software
