Compensation: $23.00/hr

The Forensic Interviewer is responsible for providing forensic interviews of alleged child abuse victims and for building collaborative relationships with team members in all ten counties served.

This is a full-time, benefit eligible position. Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am- 4:30 pm and some evening and/or weekend hours are possible for emergency situations.

Responsibilities Include:

* Meets with the multidisciplinary team assigned to each CAC case prior to the child interview.
* Utilizing the ChildFirst Missouri protocol, conducts digital recording forensic interviews of children named as victims or witnesses of abuse of a criminal nature.
* Facilitates the multidisciplinary team pre- and post-interview discussion.
* Provides expert testimony in criminal and civil court cases.
* Provides a written report regarding the interview content for each multidisciplinary team member assigned to the case within two weeks of the interview.
* Assists in the development and presentation of in-service training and prevention programs for participating agencies and the community.
* Assists in the developments and presentation of training in the area of forensic disciplines from the counties within the region served.
* Assists in the organization of training for the multidisciplinary team representatives of the region.
* Participates in CAC fundraising events throughout the year.
* Participates in Interviewer Peer Review by both submitting and reviewing interviews (within CACECM and regionally)
* Follows CACECM Protocols and assists in developing agency policies
* Maintains interviewing skills by participating in continuing education and reviewing research material regarding the process of disclosure, interviewing techniques, and other relevant topics.
* Maintain a foundation of education and experience to be utilized as an expert witness in court proceedings.
* Facilitates Case Review and maintain Case Updates in the event that the Family Advocate is unavailable, or the position is vacant.
* Uses NCAtrack to record data regarding interviews, interview summaries, and communication with MDT.



  • Bachelor's degree in human services, social work or related field.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in the field of child abuse/neglect and/or related field
