The School of Medicine Dean's office is looking for a Financial Data and Reporting Analyst or Senior Financial Data and Reporting Analyst to join the Budgeting, Financial Reporting, and Analysis team. This position will be part of a highly innovative team, which is utilizing a top of the line cloud based solution (Anaplan) to support the school budgeting and long-range planning processes and to provide timely and insightful financial analysis to the school leadership. The position will be also involved in the redesign of the school internal processes and systems necessitated by the University-wide transition to Workday Finance. In addition, this position will be actively involved in the effort to support new initiatives set off by the Health System Strategic planning effort and the upcoming new School leadership. The position will collaborate on a daily basis with team members and various stakeholders in the school, Health System and the University to successfully turn data into informative and actionable information.
Financial Analysts develop, interpret, and implement highly complex financial and accounting concepts and techniques for financial planning and control. They direct development and implementation of new concepts and techniques for financial information analysis. Senior analysts coordinate with all levels of management within and outside the University to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans, future requirements, operating forecasts, and similar complex financial matters. They act as consultants to management on financial policies, procedures, and application. They may provide functional and technical direction to other financial staff members.
Job responsibilities include:
The School is utilizing Anaplan to support the budgeting and financial analysis processes. The new hire is expected to become proficient in the new tool and utilize it on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will hold previous experience with Anaplan or a similar application.
Minimum Requirements for Financial Data and Reporting Analyst:
Education: Bachelor's degree in finance or related
Experience: At least one year of experience.
Minimum Requirements for Senior Financial Data and Reporting Analyst:
Education: Bachelor's degree in finance related field
Experience: Five years of experience. Advance Excel and or experience with budgeting /reporting applications.
This is a restricted position; continuation is dependent on funding and satisfactory performance.
