Job Summary:
Performs costing and pricing process for new and current customers within the Avnet Integrated solutions customer base. Manages all customer pricing by leveraging the best practices and methodology of the global pricing solutions organization. Supports account management, program management & customer management with quoting, cost reductions, price changes, analytics and profitability analyses.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Executes all customer quote requests leveraging the process and methodology of the Pricing Solutions group.
  • Delivers profitability analysis through P&L creation and reviews for new and current customers.
  • Works with materials, sales, customer management, operations, and finance to gather relevant data and information.
  • Ensures all quotes are approved and follow the appropriate R&A policy.
  • Performs financial operation reviews for all supported customers to ensure customer margin performance.
  • Contributes to strategic pricing decisions and creates pricing models to support customers.
  • Provides formal quote deliverable with clear quote conditions & labor conditions.
  • Tracks all win/loss results and provides activity reports to show activity
  • Analyzes internal pricing models that consider product costs such as labor, materials, distribution, and contracts to evaluate prices against actual expenses and budgets.
  • Maintains and drives trending knowledge of products, competitors, technology and customers
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Driving top line and bottom line growth through the preparation of sound financial analysis.
  • Contributing to the development of the business cases, value propositions, competitive assessments, risk mitigation and negotiation strategies in support of customer business proposals
  • Developing value-based pricing capabilities
  • Preparing sound business recommendations that are properly balanced between the optimization of profitability and the creation of customer value
  • Providing negotiation support
  • Driving pricing process excellence (productivity, margin expansion, consistent methodologies and skill development) through the implementation of continuous improvements
  • Developing positive working relationships with the other functions supporting the business
  • Extensive knowledge and application of principles, theories and concepts. Complete knowledge of all job functions and the broad industry best practices, techniques and standards.
  • Develops solutions to complex problems where analysis of situations and/or data requires in-depth evaluation of variables. Determine best approach to achieve results and provide suggestions to improve policies and procedures.
  • Work is performed independently and requires the exercise of judgment and discretion. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. Work may be reviewed at a high-level.
  • May represent the organization as a primary contact on assignments and/or projects. Interacts with senior professionals and management and frequently coordinates work between departments or organizations.
  • Actions may impact the organization. Failure to accomplish work will result in the inability to reach crucial organizational goals. Erroneous decisions may have a prolonged effect resulting in the expenditure of substantial resources.

Work Experience:
  • Typically 5+ years with bachelor's or equivalent.

Education and Certification(s):
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
