TITLE: Financial Analyst
PLANT: Corporate

REPORTS TO: Corporate Finance Manager
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY
This salaried position will analyze financial performance, maintain standard costs, and identify opportunities for cost savings. This position requires a high level of confidentiality, the ability to multi-task, attention to detail, and a high degree of accuracy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Analyze monthly financial results
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasts
- Partner with operations to develop the Annual Operating Plan
- Report customer sales trends monthly, highlighting variances from forecast and budget
- Work with other members of the Finance Team to complete the quarterly profit report
- Interface with the Materials group to develop metrics related to Inventory accuracy and a process to perform additional audits on the data submitted
- Prepare the annual standard cost update
- Ensure accuracy of the quarterly and annual physical inventory
- Monitor the CAPEX spend to budget
- Identify and implement reporting improvements that provide operational locations with appropriate financial information to facilitate optimal decision making
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- Follow all prescribed safety regulations including the proper use of all required personal protective equipment
- Follow all Environmental Policy and Quality Policy guidelines.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition according to established Gibbs 7-S Guidelines
REQUIRED SKILLS To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education, knowledge, skills and abilities:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Experience: 1 to 5 years of accounting or financial analysis; prior public accounting or manufacturing experience a plus
Certifications: CMA or CPA a plus, but not required
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills within the organization and with external contacts
Computer Skills: Excel proficiency and familiarity with report writing and extracting data from various financial systems; ERP system experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred, but not required
