We have an outstanding opportunityfor aField Technician (Gas & Electric) in Mineral Point, WI.In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine service work and related duties on the company's gas and electric systems.

Hours for this position will vary based on business need throughout the year.From mid-March to the end of October the regular hours will be full-timeworking a4-weekday plus Saturday schedule.Start time on the weekdays will be9:00am.Saturday start time will be from 7:00am-8:00am.For the remaining months, scheduled hours will be part-time with a starting time from 7:00-9:00am and either a half-day or no Saturdays as determined by customer requirements.
For this position you must live within 20 minutes of the company headquarters.

Job Qualifications

• Proven mechanical aptitude and skills to perform gas and electric service type of work.
• Knowledgeable in National Fuel Code gas piping and ventilation codes and requirements.
• Experience with re-lighting a wide variety of gas appliances.
• Successful completion of Alliant Energy's Field Technician training program and passing of the Field Technician examination.
• Ability to become qualified and retain qualifications in all required Operator Qualification (OQ) tasks.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job and neat appearance.
• Possession of a valid driver\u0027s license, ability to perform the physical requirements of the job and neat appearance.
• Ability to work the required hours indicated for the position.
• Ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse work group.

This position will be posted until a qualified pool of candidates is obtained.

*NOTE:
This position is covered by the Department of Transportation regulations on drug/alcohol testing (CFR 49, Parts 40 and 199), and is subject to drug/alcohol testing according to said regulations.
