What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with TSI, you will be responsible for:

  • Provide field service and support by traveling to TSI customers' sites to install, calibrate, repair, and perform annual maintenance on TSI's products.
  • Answer technical questions and trouble shoot for customers regarding products and technologies in person at customer sites. Additionally, will be part of an escalation path to answer similar questions on the phone.
  • Support remote and on-site troubleshooting of customer hardware and software issues.
  • Order and stock support parts as needed for the installation, repair and maintenance appointments.
  • Conduct limited training to customers for the operation and maintenance of equipment & software.
  • Assist in in-house technical workshops, set up systems for demos, etc.
  • Properly complete system validation documentation to include, hardware and software testing.
  • Provide feedback used for developing, revising and updating service procedures and related documentation in the TSI system.
  • Document all work performed and close out all activities upon completion, including Calibration Certificates.
  • Provide input for new product/technology development.
  • Comply with and follow the TSI Quality System and relevant ISO guidelines.
  • Directly responsible for company assets, including truck, parts inventory, tools, laptop and test equipment.
  • Complete thorough trip reports and accurately submit travel reimbursements for labor and expenses.

What Do You Need?
Required
  • An Associate's degree in electronics or 5 years related field experience is required.
  • Electrical and or Electronics technician experience is required.

Desired
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering desired.
  • Field or technical support experience in a business setting is desired.
  • Experience with distributed monitoring systems desired.

Knowledge of:
  • Strong field troubleshooting and repair practices. System Installation, calibration, troubleshooting and repair of instruments and software systems
  • Mechanical, software, IT and Electronics
  • Manufacturing processes

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Field work is performed at customer locations, often in their factory environments. Frequently will work inside clean rooms and controlled environments.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and frequently bend, twist, reach, stoop, kneel or crouch.
  • Must have hand dexterity to manipulate and handle materials.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and follow established safety standards and the customer's standard operating practices.
  • Will be required to drive, have and maintain a valid driver's license and be compliant with applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Cover a service area and help out in other areas as needed

Travel is required for this role. Must be able to travel 50% - 80% in North America.
