In collaboration with the Learning Network of Minnesota (LNM), the University of Minnesota seeks an Executive Director who will provide learning technology services across all campuses of the University of Minnesota and the Minnesota State colleges and universities system. This position is responsible for directing the Learning Network of Minnesota strategic planning effort and implementing the plan, as well as providing functional direction to the six regional consortiums of the Learning Network. The Executive Director requires strong leadership skills, an ability to balance stakeholders, an understanding of higher education and technical processes as well as an ability to mentor and coach Regional Directors to ensure high levels of operational performance and effectiveness.
The Executive Director reports directly to the Vice President and Chief Information Officer of the University of Minnesota as well as being responsible to the Vice Chancellor of Information Technology and Chief Information Officer, Minnesota State Colleges and Universities, and to the Learning Network of the Minnesota Board. The Learning Network Director has a budget authority of approximately $5 million.

The LNM provides Learning Technology services across all colleges and campuses of the University of Minnesota and the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities systems. Within the six regions of the Learning Network are the five campuses of the University of Minnesota, and the seven universities, 30 colleges, and 54 campuses of the Minnesota State systems. The Learning Network enables students to have access to learning opportunities that otherwise would be unavailable at their college or in their geographic area.
