A Healthcare Company is seeking an Epic Ambulatory Systems Manager in Miami Beach, FL.
Roles & Responsibilities
Manages all facets of major clinical and related business system projects, including process, application, technical, and training tasks to ensure end user, physician, and patient satisfaction. Collaborates with analysts, technical staff and application owners with all phases.
• Serves as a main point of contact for daily ambulatory IT operations. Where appropriate, manages relationships with key vendors. Represents Ambulatory IT at various meetings, task force groups, and quality councils where needed.
• Work with stakeholders (physicians, practice administrators, operations) to define business and system requirements for new implementations, department, and specialty expansions to meet organizational goals.
• Proactively lead digital transformation in the offices through identifying, evaluating, and supporting opportunities to improve existing application workflows.
• Manages and guides the team for the operation, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade and support of information technology applications supported.
• Ensures that the team understands all of the integrated pieces of the project and that the interdependencies are highlighted.
• Establishes quality and performance targets for key projects (including measuring value propositions before and after implementations).
• Ensure that the \"non system\" components of the plan are in place and prioritized appropriately. This includes process design and testing that incorporates the clinical and businesses processes.
• Works with individual project team members on their milestones and tasks, ensuring that all issues are brought up and addressed.
• Holds regular project team meetings in which milestone progress, interdependencies, and issues are discussed and appropriate action items are developed.
• Implements the appropriate procedures for projecting tracking and status.
• Ensures that all team members are utilizing the issues reporting/management processes.
• Reviews issues on a regular basis ensuring that issues are handled and escalated appropriately so that the project milestones will be met.
• Ensures team members are utilizing the central knowledge repository for project documentation, including work plans, issue lists, status reports, deliverables, etc.
• Understands and communicates if/how sub-projects or dependent projects impact planned projects (Program" view of portfolio of projects).
Skills & Requirements
• BS in Computer Science or MIS
• 3+ years' experience directing or managing major clinical projects
