Basic Job Functions:
The Environmental Supervisor is responsible for safely leading and developing a team of environmental operators while implementing operational and commercial excellence. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to leading safety initiatives; growing and developing the team; development and execution of reliability-based maintenance programs to ensure optimum performance of baghouse and water systems; working with and building relationships across departments to ensure a mutual understanding of environmental compliance requirements; implementation and operation of environmental programs in addition to environmental department activities and other duties as assigned. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
Three years of experience in a leadership or technical role.
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical degree in electrical, mechanical, or related field.
Mechanical maintenance (emphasis on pumps and valves), and electrical troubleshooting. Experience in related industry: water systems operations, water chemistry analysis, baghouse/emissions control operations, CEMS, pollution control equipment,
