Your Role:

Asan Engineering Technician you will perform various work duties in accordance with Quality Systems Manual procedures, safety policies and site-specific requirements.In addition, you will respond to emergency situations including safety, environmental concerns, power outage, and outside phone calls. In this role you must be available to work overtime and accept call-ins with or without prior notice. You will regularly respond to call-ins (nights, weekends, and holidays) for emergency mechanical and electrical equipment repair. This involves a greater-than-usual level of responsibility to bring the problem to resolution either by completing the repair or identifying and communicating with those in a position to do so. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Maintain safe working conditions and practices to achieve safety objectives. Maintain required safety documentation. Attend all mandatory site-specific training and meetings.
  • Coordinate all PM activities with other groups (MFG/Labs/Technology) as required to complete the defined objectives. Ensure data is entered into SAP system.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors as needed to perform repairs, calibrations or scheduled PMs on facility equipment. Provide ongoing feedback to management regarding the performance of contractors/employees.
  • Perform troubleshooting on equipment and make repairs or adjustments when necessary, submit work orders as needed. Use SAP maintenance system to query for open emergency and planned maintenance PMs and Calibration jobs and to accurately and completely document work effort and job status.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in the various processes, the safety environment, product quality and environmental items.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate/perform PMs on all mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment as necessary.
  • Inspect all work areas on a continuous basis for any mechanical/electrical problems, safety hazards and unusual operation conditions. Keep work and supply areas in a safe, clean, and orderly condition at all times.
  • Ensure that all site/EMDsafety procedures are followed.Instruct new employees/contractors on how to conduct work in a safe manner. Report any violations to management.
  • Communicate with management/engineering on functional issues and procedure updates. Review and update SOPs and assist to generate new SOPs as required.
  • Assist supervisors in special projects.

Who you are:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 4+ years' experience in an operations/maintenance tech role

Preferred Qualifications:
  • AA degree
  • Basic knowledge of computers. Word, Excel, Maintenance tracking systems and Outlook
  • SAP experience
