JOB DESCRIPTION

At Manitowoc Ice an entry level engineer is a key part of the engineering team, supporting new product development, leading cost reduction projects and resolving warranty/customer issues. You will be given a chance to grow professionally, developing your skills in a team environment while refining your technical core competency.

Key Task & Responsibilities:

• Develop, verify and implement basic design concepts.
• Lead and support the resolution of production issues.
• Lead and support product cost reduction projects.
• Perform detailed design analysis on components and subsystems.
• Lead hands-on prototype builds.
• Design experiments, test protocols and execute on components and finished goods
• Conduct industry literature/product research.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• 3-5 years new product development or product design with an emphasis on product support and cost reduction initiatives preferred.
• Excellent communication, leadership and technical skills
