IMMI is seeking a highly motivated Electronics Engineer to support our Products Engineering team. The Electronics Engineer will interact with program management and R&D teams to develop a strong understanding of the projects and testing objectives. You will design products, create test conditions, procedures, methods and tools/scripts for verification/validation of the company's products all the way to production. This position will use their skills in hardware, software, and testing skills to determine the performance specification, cost, and timing to deliver top quality safety products to our clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive new product development programs using Stage-Gate process. Complete and/or delegate all engineering activities within a given program.
  • Provides guidance to designers/supporting engineers for designs, drawings, requisitions, etc. to meet regulatory, process, electrical and project requirements.
  • Work collaboratively to execute projects with various internal competencies (Testing, purchasing, manufacturing, quality and finance).
  • Support customers with technical information and initiatives. This can include developing and/or creating: design concepts, CAD models, prototypes, and technical reports/presentation.
  • Engage with suppliers and outside contractors to accomplish key outsourcing activities like part sourcing or contract design.
  • Develop and execute validation testing to qualify designs through the product development process.
  • Ability to oversee and manage multiple projects at a time and prioritize work.
  • Gain peer and management product insight through informal and formal design reviews.
  • Utilize design tools available to maximize development time while ensuring optimal product design.
  • Fully supports company programs, policies, and objectives.
  • Support Manufacturing engineering for end of line tester and other electrical or electronic equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, required. Master's Degree, preferred.
  • Six Sigma Certification, preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Design Verification Plan and Report (DV&P), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA).
  • Experience in design, repair, and analysis of electronic systems
  • Knowledge of Bluetooth and other wireless technology
  • Experience in Mobile app development (iOS/Android)
  • Exposure to electrical engineering design principles and methodologies
  • Solidworks or AutoCAD preferred.
  • Must have general knowledge of manufacturing and assembly methodologies.
  • Strong results orientation and positive \"can do\" attitude with a sense of urgency.
  • Self-starter; a "hands-on" individual who enjoys challenge and is dedicated to getting the job done with minimal support and direction.
