Position Overview

Novelis Corporation, the global leader in rolled aluminum and can recycling, has opportunities at its Terre Haute, IN plant for experienced Industrial Electricians. The preferred candidates will need to be fully committed to engaging in safe working practices, driven to learn new processes and procedures, and have the ability to work as part of a team to achieve Novelis Focus 5 goals in EHS, Quality, Operational Excellence, Customer Centricity and Return on Capital Employed. The plant is located at 5901 N. 13th Street, north of the city limits. The primary function of the job is to perform necessary repairs and maintenance on electronic equipment and machinery within the plant facility in a safe and efficient method and to ensure minimal production downtime and maximum adherence to environmental and safety guidelines. Successful candidates preferably have a minimum of two years proven experience in industrial electrical maintenance. Candidates with a BS degree in Electrical Technology or equivalent will also be considered. In addition, this position will maintain an organized and clean work environment and document completed work in the computerized maintenance management system. The incumbent will be required to troubleshoot electrical problems and ensure that corrective/preventive actions are assigned and performed, ensure that documentation is accurate and up to date, and participate in continuous improvement opportunities in reliability. Novelis is a seven-day, four-shift operation. The current hourly wage for electricians includes an additional shift differential, applicable overtime and quarterly bonus potential. Responsibilities & Qualifications

Candidates must possess considerable experience in troubleshooting and aptitude involving: - AC and DC drives - PLCs -Switchgear - DC digital drives -Electrical Circuits - Motor Controls -Instrumentation - Mechanical Systems -NEC & OSHA - Electrical Drawings All candidates must have strong problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, organizational skills, ability to manage multiple activities and be able to work any shift and overtime in a self-managed environment.
