This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a EHS Specialist 2, you will be responsible for :
• Assist the Director of EHS in managing the Molecular Imaging Environmental, Health and Sustainability Initiative and establishing new policies and procedures.
• Work with Director of EHS to develop and maintain Business Continuity for the MI Clinical businesses. This includes working with each site team to develop and maintain the site Business Continuity Plans. Conduct annual drills of the Business Continuity Plans.
• Assist with managing the EHS Management System, including developing new procedures, implementing latest changes, and managing required records and documentation.
• Assist the Director of EHS and EHS Team with managing Molecular Imaging Product Related (PEP) and Facility-related environmental, health and safety initiatives. This includes collection of energy data, creation of Environmental Product Declarations, etc.
• Coordinate EHS digitalization and productivity projects.
• Assist the MI Health Management Lead with coordinating site events and implementing new initiatives.
• Assist the EHS and Training Team in developing EHS Training content and conducting training as needed (i.e. New Employee Orientation, Contactor Safety, etc.).
• Assist in the preparation of EHS compliance reports and documentation.
• Collect, maintain, and analyze EHS and Radiation Safety data and KPI's to identify trends in EHS performance.
• Assist with conducting safety and environmental audits and inspections.
• Assist in coordinating activities to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations related to environmental, health and safety requirements.
Secondary Responsibilities
• Support Radiation Safety Officer in performing various program tasks such as radiation surveys, package check-in, leak test/inventories.
• Support the site EHS Specialist in performing various program tasks such as ergonomic assessments, industrial hygiene (IH) surveys, job hazard analyses (JHA), personal protective equipment (PPE) and other hazard assessments.
• Assist with incident management, including incident investigations and implementation of corrective actions.
• Perform functions related to hazardous waste including collection of contaminated wastes, organizing material for segregation using applicable waste codes. Prepares material and manifests for hazardous waste shipments.
• Be an EHS representative for site-related projects. This includes reviewing of Management of Change forms (MoC), conducting project safety reviews, evaluating new equipment, overseeing contractors and other tasks.
• Participate on site Emergency Response Team.
• Participate on the site EHS committee and in all internal and external audits.
• May be required to perform other EHS related duties as assigned.
