Job Description

Under the supervision of the Vice President of Wholesale Sales, this position will be responsible for developing and leading a regional sales force which focuses on building active partnerships with mortgage brokers, bankers and correspondents across the nation who are actively involved with Reverse Mortgages or interested in doing so. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to the development of new territories throughout the country and increasing monthly volume through continuing development of new relationships and maintenance of existing relationships. The ability to manage projects efficiently and effectively from inception to completion and having substantial experience with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the reverse mortgage industry along with strong management skills are a must.

Job Functions and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Work the Vice President of Wholesale and Corresponding Sales on the implementation and ongoing oversight of its sales strategy
  • Work directly with the Channel Leader on refining processes for maximizing revenue and increasing team's efficiency while maintaining high customer service standards.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Training and Channel Leaders to develop training & education strategy to support business initiative
  • Recruitment, hiring and retention of Business Development Managers (Regional Account Executives) based on the job description and future strategy of the channel
  • Lead the day-to-day efforts of multiple employees across the nation. Including but not limited to management of subordinate's schedules to ensure there is sufficient coverage at all times.
  • Project management - May have multiple/concurrent projects and/or deliverables.
  • Act as liaison with other departments within Liberty, PHH and Ocwen to articulate, promote, and manage sales needs and projects.
  • Supervise expenses to remain in accordance with the established budget.
  • Enforce adherence to all corporate policies.
  • Develop policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and lead department meetings as need.
  • Sets examples for the team in areas of personal character, commitment to the organization and work habits.
  • Oversee daily, weekly and monthly sales reporting to ensure that all Regional Account Executives meet or exceed all activity standards for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations, proposals, and broker training and development needs in order to maximize performance and efficiency.
  • Proactively manage ongoing account penetration efforts- realign accounts as necessary
  • Initiating and helping coordinate development of action plans to achieve or exceed market share goals.
  • Assist Regional Account Executives in the development of business goals designed to achieve market share goals within a required territory
  • Ensure proper training of all staff members as needed.
  • Resolve escalated loan level issues prior to escalation to Channel Leader.
  • Support other channels within the Sales department to promote team environment.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience:
  • 3+ years of proven mortgage sales management success.
  • Knowledge of the mortgage industry and financial services.
  • Capacity planning and efficiency maximization experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to cross communicate at all levels of an organization.
  • Detail oriented with superior follow up skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement efficient processes and practices throughout the Sales Department.
  • Project management experience.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve production goals.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Ability to multi-task.
Training / Licensing Requirements:
  • Must pass the Company's Background Screening process prior to beginning employment. Additionally, as a condition of employment, you may be required to pass client-specific background check requirements or Federal/State licensing requirements, if applicable.
