Main Purpose

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the proposal team and the end to end proposal management process including, developing, preparing, writing and timely submission of successful proposals for all lines of business.

Key job responsibilities

• Provide guidance, leadership and development to the proposal team
• Drive all aspects of the proposal process from pre-RFP activities through final production and close out process
• Review bid opportunities and assign work.
• Suggest pricing and operation approaches to maximize chance of winning new work or retaining existing work at profitable margins.
• Manage and coordinate multiple proposal tasks and deliverables, including input from multiple Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), at times under tight deadlines
• Conduct Proposal Review calls to review pricing and bid strategy
• Complete proposals timely based on Proposal Department workload.
• Reviews and communicates requirements of the contracts to team members and other staff members as needed during the term of the contracts.
• Negotiate contract awards, modifications and extensions Provide weekly and quarterly reporting of proposal activity and results to Tradebe Management

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Chemistry or related science.
• Five (5) years Hazardous Waste industry experience.
• Three (3) years in preparing bids, quotes and/or proposals
• Knowledge of Hazardous Waste industry treatment and handling methods.
• Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations and contracts desired.
• Technical writing, proposal development and submission
• Must be detail oriented and organized.
• Understanding of RCRA and DOT regulations regarding Hazardous Waste
• Proficient in Word, Excel and Adobe
• Need a high level of mathematical analytical ability.
• Must have ability to analyze costs
• Ability to manage multiple projects with similar due dates.
• Must be self-motivating/self-starter.
• Excellent grammar and writing skills
• Understanding of federal and commercial contracting
