The individual in this position should be available outside of normal work hours to assist in emergency events. As a result, it is expected to be reachable, within reason, via mobile device.
The Director of Project and Portfolio Management reports to Denison's Vice President and Chief Information Officer and plays a crucial role in supporting technology initiatives across the university. Responsible for advancing IT goals in support of Denison's Strategic Plan, this role will build and lead portfolio and project management for Denison's Information Technology team in support of the university's Strategic Plan. The role will ensure the success of our initiatives, foster a culture of innovation and excellence, build relationships across the community, and support a vibrant, fun, and growth-oriented team.
The Director will: design and implement processes to manage projects across Denison's enterprise and academic technology, cybersecurity, and client experience portfolios; oversee project and change management for Denison's ERP transition; oversee IT budgets; coordinate annual goal planning processes; analyze and share data insights; report on the impact of key initiatives; promote a positive culture; and celebrate success.
