Job Summary

  • Complies fully with all NCAA, Big Ten (or other conference) and Indiana University rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
  • Develops and manages the annual budget for the assigned sports program.
  • Manages team travel, including itineraries, rooming lists, meal arrangements, practice times, authorizations, reimbursements, and air and bus transportation.
  • Works with compliance staff on rules education, required compliance documentation, rules interpretations, and other compliance issues or requirements related to the assigned sports program.
  • Collaborates with Sports Medicine, athletic training, and sport psychologist to advance player development.
  • Manages external relations and community outreach activities including community service and engagement by team members and coaching staff.
  • Seeks out, investigates, and develops team opportunities.
  • May break down film and analyze data to prepare coaches as they study for game plans and strategy.
  • Works with coaches to evaluate practice and game performance.
  • Utilizes data to chart the tendencies of opposing team plays.

  • Bachelor's degree

Working Conditions / Demands

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
