Department:Student ServicesSalary:DOECity/State:Hawkins, TexasEducation:Masters preferred in Music Education/focus ChoirType:Full-TimeExperience:2 yearsWork Schedule:Contact Name:Danielle DelintContact Email:hrinfo@jarvis.eduDate Posted:01/11/2024Description:Job Description and ExpectationsPOSITION TITLE: Director, ChoirQUALIFICATIONS:*A candidate with a terminal degree in Music Education with a focus on Choir management or conducting is preferred. *An M.A. is required. *Candidate must have a proven record of directing and managing Choirs at the University level, experience with fund raising and recruitment, and the ability to collaborate with others in the ongoing development of the music curriculum.*Successful University teaching experience.*Proven success in public school teaching (minimum of two years).*Demonstrated success in all facets of a university Choir program, including the recruitment and retention of quality students, establishing and maintaining positive relationships with public school Choir directors, and university/community constituents.*Demonstrated musical, financial, and administrative success with University and/or high school concert and athletic Choirs.
