The primary role of the Director of Managed Care is to develop comprehensive and cohesive approach to the insurance and managed care programs with hearing benefits. Execute strategy including contracts and expand relationships for hearing device benefit plans with Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) that include major insurance carriers, worker compensation, group/association discount programs, healthcare benefit programs, large employers and unions, healthcare providers and senior organizations to drive revenue growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop a Manage Care Strategy for the Great Hearing Benefits Network, a business entity within GN Hearing
  • Execute strategy to drive contracts and sales
  • Managed team to achieve strategic goals
  • Drive hearing benefits and device sales penetration and growth through MCOs
  • Develop and expand relationships with Insurers, ASOs and MCOs to grow sales revenue
  • Design managed care offerings that are attractive and will be embraced by our provider network
  • Identify, target, and maintain strategic relationships with MCOs with the goal of establishing mutually beneficial relationships
  • Direct entire MCO sales and account management processes
  • Coordinate marketing programs with MCOs to their membership
  • Create annual plan for strategic accounts working with Managed Care and Sales teams to communicate product changes, pricing, program changes, new accounts, and terminated accounts.
  • Maintain accurate program information for strategic accounts
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Legal and Finance to meet account performance objectives and expectations
  • Attend healthcare trade shows
  • Participate with Vendor Partners Sales and Marketing

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in business, healthcare or related fields
  • Health and Welfare Insurance Broker Licenses

Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of managed care experience
  • Experience in sales and distribution in special care health benefits
  • Experience with managed care, worker compensation and insurance plans in terms of winning business, relationship management and developing the account (revenue growth)

Travel:
  • 35%+ travel
