Role Summary

The Director - Loan Production role will oversee and supervise a team of Loan Production individual contributors within the Business Credit Center. The team's primary purpose is to support and coordinate commercial credit requests through the credit process and serve as liaisons between Relationship Managers, Underwriters, Closing, and Operations. They drive consistency and accountability across the credit process, act as the primary internal owner of the credit request and collaborate with cross functional teams as the primary point-of-contact for loan-related inquiries arising throughout the loan approval and closing process. The Director will handle escalated situations and will effectively manage the performance and development of the team, foster a positive work environment, and increase employee engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Drive consistency and accountability across the credit process by managing a team of Loan Production individual contributors who serve as the primary point of contact for loan-related inquiries arising throughout the loan approval and closing processes
  • Monitor and influence the Business Credit Center pipeline of commercial credit requests through all stages of production
  • Ensure a timely and high-quality closing for Business Credit Center loans by tracking application statuses, following up on missing information, proactively solving problems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Handle escalated situations and effectively manage the performance and development of the team, foster a positive work environment, and increase employee engagement.
Experience Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in Credit, Lending, or Bank Operations including at least 5 years of managerial experience
  • Bachelor's Degree required (preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics)
  • Strong knowledge of required loan documentation for business / commercial loans
  • Experience with Loan Origination Systems and back-end systems
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with proven ability to multi-task
  • Comfortable speaking with clients and external parties
  • Ability to build relationships and work with teams across various functions of the bank
  • Ability to work independently and proactively to address emerging process issues
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with Small Business, Business Banking, SBA and CRE loan types
  • Experience structuring loans, calculating pricing, and interpreting programs
  • Experience with due diligence activities including title analysis, lien searches and 3rd party reporting
  • Knowledge of applicable lending compliance laws and regulations

The estimated salary range for this position is $105,000 to $120,000. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
