Job Description Summary

Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, the Director of Human Resources will serve as the People pillar strategic business partner to organization's Foodservice and Retail businesses as well as Marketing & Innovation and Strategic Growth Innovation, comprised of ~350 employees.
This role will work closely with the business leadership teams to set strategy, develop/adapt organizational structures to drive business objectives, and secure/retain talent needed to deliver results The position will partner with and manage several areas of Human Resources support, including but not limited to, recruitment and retention, talent assessment and succession planning, employee relations, employee development, performance management, policy guidance, and assisting in the coordination of workforce planning initiatives. The human resource Director will spend a significant amount of time building professional relationships with leadership teams to drive strategic plans and will provide daily leadership for one direct report.

Job Description

  • Partner with Commercial business leaders and HR COE's to develop and implement human resources plans that align with the broader Lamb Weston organizational strategy and helps build a high-performing culture of success, accountability, transparency, and collaboration.
  • Drive and align business initiatives by providing consultation on organization effectiveness and the achievement of objectives through organization change, organization design, effective employee relations, workforce planning, employee engagement, and talent management.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee related issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations. Provide coaching and advises management on effective ways to administer company policies.
  • Coach leaders and direct reports on leading change, engaging employees, and effectively building capabilities.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to drive recruiting efforts for business functions. This includes, coordinating recruiting strategy, assisting management with candidate selection, and developing parameters around extending job offers.
  • Assist business functions in the annual review, preparation and administration of the organization's wage and salary planning, including authorized strength and incremental headcount requts as part of the Annual Operating Planning (AOP) process. .
  • Develop and deliver effective strategies/programs regarding employee engagement, staffing, organizational design, talent management, training, and change management.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Consults with legal counsel as appropriate.
  • Utilize HRIS systems to capture and maintain accurate employee data. This includes inputting business processes for employee data and status changes.
  • Lead business partners through restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Protect the company's interest while complying with government regulations by communicating awareness of the legal implications of all personnel actions
  • Lead a variety of special, enterprise-wide projects
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic & Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related degree required
  • Master's degree in Business, Organization Development, or other related fields preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Human Resources, with 3+ years managing others and 3+ years with Global Support.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, human resource information systems, employee relations, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws
  • Experience in developing HR partnerships with senior leaders and business leaders
  • Experience with human capital management systems. Workday experience a plus
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects and problem solving
  • Effective and deliberate communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent influencing and conflict management skills
  • Experience leading organizational changes, to include organizational structure
  • Experience in direct employee development
  • Ability to travel independently up to 30% of the time, primarily in the US, however, international travel could be required.

This compensation is specific to this position and takes into account a number of variables. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range posted based on various factors, including, but not limited to, job duties, experience and expertise. A candidate's work location could also impact the actual compensation being outside of the range to reflect local cost of labor. A reasonable annual estimate of the range for this role based on the variables previously mentioned is: $145,430.00 - $218,150.00
