The Global Client & Category (GCC) team is looking for an experienced Entertainment leader to build out and lead our Entertainment Category team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and driving our global partner strategy within the Entertainment category. You will seek to understand the core jobs to be done for our industry partners and identify where we can help these partners create more value across the MBG business units. You will help lead and coordinate building scalable solutions for the category which can be activated locally in key countries. You'll also lead a high-performing global team responsible for helping grow some of the largest Entertainment businesses in the industry. You'll partner extensively across Meta's ecosystem with Local Sales Leaders, Strategic Partnerships, Product Marketers, Product Experts, Solutions Engineers, Creative teams, and Measurement professionals.We are looking for a leader who can bring cross-functional teams and local and global leaders together to operate in partnership to drive impact. The leader will be able to powerfully articulate a vision and create and build trust with Meta teams and sophisticated partners. We are looking for a self-starter who has demonstrated success dealing with ambiguity and successfully managing teams with problem-solving leadership and limited oversight. The ideal candidate will have management experience, particularly in the Entertainment industry, an understanding of the media and agency ecosystem, and experience working within a sales environment. This person should be a natural team builder and leader, highly collaborative, comfortable in servant-leadership/interdependent roles and curious, and globally minded.

Director, Global Client & Category, Entertainment Responsibilities:

  • Partner with global cross-functional teams to co-create and deploy a growth strategy for our global partners and the MBG Entertainment category
  • Work cross-functionally with In-Market Sales teams, Business Operations, Strategic Partnerships, Measurement, Solutions Engineering, and Product Marketing to optimize our efforts in the category and drive planning and prioritization
  • Consult with Product Marketing to shape product development in support of Entertainment client needs
  • Drive individual partner growth for the largest global Entertainment players, identifying winning strategies and scaling insights across the Meta Business Group (MBG)
  • Lead a team responsible for driving leadership, strategy, and coordinating activation across core global Entertainment partners
  • Enable a high-performing team to be strategic business consultants to help our largest partners grow and accelerate their businesses
  • Earn a place as a trusted advisor to our partners and Meta stakeholders by partnering with them to understand their business objectives, defining where and how Meta can play a role in achieving them
  • Guide the creation of persuasive presentations and narratives that demonstrate the value of Meta to Entertainment partners and agencies
  • Actively participate with the GCC leadership team, embracing and contributing to the Meta company culture, mission, and strategy
  • Represent Meta at key client/partner events and engagements
  • Support, mentor, and lead team to recognize opportunities for new approaches


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 12+ years marketing and/or sales experience
  • 10+ years working in Entertainment or working with Entertainment partners (or experience with clients that have a similar business model)
  • 7+ years management experience
  • 7+ years experience in digital media
  • Demonstrated experience using data and insights to craft media and marketing strategies
  • Experience presenting to and interacting with C-level executives with an emphasis on translating insights, product information, and data into partner value
  • Highly collaborative individual with experience influencing multiple cross-functional internal teams with varying priorities


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing a geographically dispersed global team
  • Deep understanding of digital advertising technology, brand and data/performance trends
  • Respected expert in the Entertainment industry
  • Proven track record of developing high-performing leaders and growing their careers and capabilities
  • Experience crafting, executing, and refining winning strategies to help businesses grow
