St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, a partnership between Tower Health and Drexel University, is a 188-bed facility that provides exceptional care to children throughout the Greater Philadelphia area and surrounding counties.

St. Christopher's has more than 220 pediatric experts on staff, combining top-notch pediatric care with a wide array of pediatric specialties including Cardiology, Ear, Nose and Throat, Gastroenterology, Oncology, and Orthopedics. It houses the only Verified Pediatric Burn Center between New York City and Baltimore and is one of only three Level I Pediatric Trauma Centers in Pennsylvania. Responsibilities

Responsible for the management and leadership of organized nursing services and personnel in areas assigned. This includes human resource and fiscal management. Formulates and executes a strategic business plan including budget development for areas of responsibility consistent with department and organizational goals. Ensures compliance with all regulatory bodies and corporate and organizational policy/procedures. Implements all customer service initiatives. Develops performance improvement strategies to enhance employee and patient satisfaction, positive patient outcomes, meet and exceed revenue targets, and maximize revenues and drive down costs.

Qualifications

Skills & Abilities:

- Practices and promotes leadership principles.

- Comprehensive background in nursing and knowledge of current healthcare issues and trends,

commitment to continuing education.

-Ability to handle multiple projects in diverse areas.

-Demonstrated knowledge of team dynamics and ability to use intervention strategies to promote effective team activities.

-Demonstrated knowledge and sensitivity to diversity issues and respect for individual differences.

-Effective listening and writing skills.

-Ability to establish goals and action plans, and facilitate action to accomplish goals.

-Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving ability.

-Demonstrated knowledge of the performance improvement process.

-Demonstrated knowledge of outcomes management.

-Demonstrated ability to function as a change agent.

-Strong customer service skills.

Training & Education: BSN required, MSN preferred

Experience: Progressive leadership experience in Pediaric ER, Transport team, and IB team

3-5 years experience preferred

Supervisory Responsibility: Nurse Manager, Clinical Coordinators, Unit-Based Educators, Unit Secretaries, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Nursing Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Student Nurses, Volunteers, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Nurse Clinicians, Nursing Supervisors, Nursing Assistants, Faculty

Required Licenses: Current Pennsylvania Registered Nursing License
