Summary of Role:

In this position the intern will work alongside the Digital Design Enablement and Methodology team in the Design Enablement organization at GLOBALFOUNDRIES. The job scope includes generation of design margins through spice simulations and standard cells characterization.

This internship position will be based out of and support our Santa Clara, CA location.

Essential Responsibilities include:

  • Developing database and infrastructure to enhance design methodology techniques
  • Writing scripts to parse reports, create CSV files and update database tables
  • Apply machine learning techniques to predict various design outcomes using the data in the database
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs


Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • MS/PhD in Computer Science/ PhD in Electronics Engineering with Machine Learning and analytics course work
  • Experience in Front End design (JavaScript, HTML/CSS), SQL dB, SQLAlchemy, and design and development of database
  • Proficiency in Python programming, Pandas with strong fundamentals in software development, and algorithms.
  • Excellent technical problem solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced coursework or hands-on working knowledge of ML/DL algorithms and frameworks such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras or PyTorch.
