The Design Project Manager is responsible for project managing packaging design opportunities to support the company's strategic business goals. Positive team engagement and motivation are primary focuses of this role. The Design Project Manager II will aid in business analysis and operational enhancements. This person will be expected to demonstrate initiative, problem solve, drive projects, and cultivate strong relationships. They will collaborate with their functional partners to work through projects from concept to completion.

Job Responsibilities:

Project Management:

* Manage a portfolio of projects and initiatives, ranging in complexity

* Deliver quality solutions on time, within budget, and according to project scope

* Prepare and gain alignment on complex project requirements, estimates and detailed project plan

* Ensure projects are aligned to strategy

* Serve as the lead point of contact for all project matters (design team, sales, production, sourcing, finance, etc.)

* Conduct discovery sessions with team members and customers to kick off new initiatives

* Work with team members and other project managers to prioritize projects and resource capacity

* Monitor projects and workloads, adjusting assignments and deadlines accordingly

* Provide status regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues

* Support and guide design team members through project timelines and execution

* Provide project management-related sales support

* Support quality control requirements and participate in quality issue resolution

* Build and maintain strong relationships internally and externally

* Understand packaging business, marketplace and trends

* Stay current with project management industry standards, emerging technologies, methods, and best practices

Business Analytics & Operational Development:

* Run business reports and interpret data as necessary

* Identify opportunities and solutions to improve efficiencies

* Support development of best practices, templates, policies, and tools

* Support system optimization initiatives

* Participate in training as necessary

Working Conditions:

Hybrid schedule available - 2 days on site, 3 days work from home

Some travel may be necessary
