Position Summary

Under the direction of the corporate compliance function, this position owns the Americas anti-corruption compliance program. The manager ensures that the compliance program in the Americas is aligned with the effective elements of a compliance program as well as global compliance policies and procedures. This position is responsible for the development, improvement, and day-to-day activities/management of the compliance program in the Americas and the Interventional Urology Business Unit, as well as training, monitoring, and auditing against the policies and procedures of the Company. This position requires the ability to be a business partner and to conduct and coordinate internal investigations as necessary. Finally, the position requires partnering and coordination with the Company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. The position is based in the Company's global headquarters in Wayne, Pennsylvania.

Principal Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and execute an anti-corruption risk assessment including ranking of risks and identification of risk mitigation plans for the Americas, including compliance risks associated with local anti-corruption laws and regulations.
• Communicate compliance-related information regarding the above-mentioned risks with the business units in the Americas and serve as the Compliance Officer for the Interventional Urology Business Unit.
• Assist in developing, updating, and implementing anti-corruption policies and procedures in the Americas designed to ensure full compliance with legal, regulatory, accounting, and contractual requirements.
• Develop, distribute and deliver effective training and communications in support of the Americas and the Company's Global Compliance Program, including language localizations as appropriate.
• Audit and measure the effectiveness of the compliance programs in the Americas and in the Interventional Urology Business Unit to develop and implement appropriate recommendations.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders - Human Resources, Internal Audit, Clinical Medical Affairs, Commercial, Regulatory, Legal, Finance, and Manufacturing and Supply Chain to identify, mitigate and resolve anti-corruption compliance matters.
• Lead cross-functional project teams as needed to implement anti-corruption initiatives.
• Coordinate and conduct due diligence on distributors, agents, and other third parties.
• Conduct and coordinate compliance and ethics-related investigations, inspections, and audits. Follow up on compliance and ethics-related investigations to ensure recommendations have been appropriately and timely implemented.
• Coordinate and complete report activities to the Chief Compliance Officer on a quarterly basis regarding compliance initiatives, training, and results of compliance evaluations.
• Participates in the development of the America's annual compliance budget and ensure expenditures remain within the budgeted expectations.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required to help ensure an effective compliance program in the Americas and in the Interventional Urology Business Unit.
• Partner and coordinate with the Company's CSR program.

Education / Experience Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is required, with a degree in accounting, finance, or related field being a plus.
• At least five years of legal, corporate compliance, or similar experience preferably with a multinational organization similar to Teleflex.
• Familiarity with laws and regulations associated with the above risks and related controls is required.
• Certification or advanced degree a plus.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

• Thorough knowledge of anticorruption compliance principles and best practices.
• Organized, energetic, flexible, and self-motivated, with an analytical mind. Able to gather, analyze, evaluate facts, and reach appropriate conclusions. Able to work independently, often without assistance or on-site supervision.
• Strong time management and document management skills.
• Willing and able to travel (up to 40%) including international travel.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels of the Company, both orally and in writing is essential for this role.
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office software.
• Strong diplomatic skills, patience, and the proven ability to find creative business-friendly solutions.
• Strong people and customer service skills.
• Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships within Teleflex. Able to gain the confidence, respect, and trust of Teleflex Business Units through attributes such as professionalism and positive attitude.
• Is sought out by management for input on compliance matters.
• Excellent project management and process improvement skills.
• Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule.
• Identify and escalate compliance risks as appropriate to the attention of the Chief Compliance Officer.
